In December 2007, the company and the China Textile Industry Design Institute jointly undertook the design work for the industrial trial production project of special fibers for China National Petroleum Corporation's Jilin Petrochemical Branch. In December 2008, the engineering design of the project was completed. The project achieved a successful first start-up in June 2009, breaking the foreign technological monopoly and winning the second prize of the Provincial Petrochemical System Excellent Engineering Survey and Design Award in 2010.
